Verified for Early Access v.260102-01.
My Winter Car is in Early Access development (launched December 29, 2025). NPC behaviors, spawn conditions, dialogue, and locations may change with patch updates. This guide is based on v.260102-01 (January 2, 2026). Some NPCs from My Summer Car return with updated roles and appearances.
Fleetari runs the primary repair shop in Perรคjรคrvi and is your main source for new/NOS (New Old Stock) engine parts and professional automotive services. Unlike My Summer Car, Fleetari now operates with significant differences including post-payment service and randomized completion times.
When your Rivett is left at Fleetari's for service, you can borrow his American classic:

Jokke is your neighbor in the adjacent apartment. He's one of two drunk neighbors who provide a valuable survival resource: free alcohol to manage your Problem Bar when you're broke.
When you're broke and your Problem Bar is rising, Jokke offers a critical lifeline:
DO NOT drink vodka from their kitchen counter. Multiple players report drinking neighbor's vodka caused 6-7 day blackouts, effectively ending their playthrough.
Safe Strategy: Stick to beer only. Avoid strong spirits.
Jokke buys homemade kilju (sugar wine), providing income opportunity:
Early Game Lifesaver: When you've spent all money on Rivett parts and rent, Jokke's free alcohol prevents Problem Bar death. This is especially critical before your first job paycheck arrives.

Reijo Livaloinen, known as the "Firewood Guy" from My Summer Car, returns as the seller of your project car: the Corris Rivett. This is a mandatory NPC interaction to progress in the game.
08609553 from apartment or parents' house phone08609553 not "08-609 553"After buying Rivett, you'll need ~8,000-14,000mk more for parts, plus weekly rent (525mk) and bills. Start a job immediately to fund the build.
From My Summer Car: Reijo's character returns from MSC where he bought firewood. In MWC, his role simplified to single Rivett transaction.

Uncle Toivo undergoes one of the most dramatic character transformations from My Summer Car to My Winter Car. Once a heavy-drinking, cough-prone but functional septic truck driver, Toivo now sits bedridden in the retirement home, dying from cancer.
Between My Summer Car (1995) and My Winter Car (1999), Uncle Toivo's health catastrophically declined:
In My Summer Car: Uncle owned and drove the Gifu 405 T septic truck, which he gave to the player after losing his driver's license (DUI/speeding).
In My Winter Car: The player already owns the Gifu from the start (inheritance from MSC story). Toivo no longer drives and is essentially waiting to die.
The Fridge Note: At your parents' house, there's a note warning: "Stop drinking alcohol or you'll end up like uncle."
This directly references Toivo's decline. Your character starts as an alcoholic (empty beer bottles in apartment), and the game warns you about following uncle's path.
Related Info: You inherit Uncle's Gifu truck and can use it for septic pumping jobs. Learn about managing the Problem Bar to avoid Uncle's fate.
Teimo, the beloved shopkeeper from My Summer Car, returns in MWC but with a significant downgrade. PSK's modern facilities drove his shop out of business, forcing him to focus solely on running Pub Nappo.
The Competition: Between MSC (1995) and MWC (1999), the modern Perรคjรคrvi PSK rest area opened. This 24/7 facility with card payment, supermarket, and fuel service completely destroyed Teimo's traditional shop business.
When to Use: Pub Nappo serves as backup when PSK is too far or you want alternative food/drink location. Not essential for survival but convenient for roleplay and occasional quick meal.
Location Advantage: At crossroads between apartment and parents' house, making it convenient stop.
Related Info: PSK replaced Teimo's shop for all primary shopping needs โ see Survival Guide for food strategies.

A: No. In MWC, you already own the Gifu from the start (story continuation from MSC). Uncle Toivo is bedridden in retirement home and no longer functional for gameplay.
A: PSK's modern facilities drove Teimo's shop out of business between 1995-1999. He now only runs Pub Nappo. All shopping functions moved to PSK.
A: Monday-Friday 8:00-16:00 only. Door will be locked outside these hours. Weekends completely closed.
A: Yes! If you miss the 12:00 PM meeting at PSK after calling, don't enter passenger seat, or interrupt dialogue, you're locked out permanently with no rehire chance. Jail time also voids opportunity.
A: Unknown in current EA version. Wiki states "death is most likely right around the corner" but actual death event not confirmed. He may remain as static bedridden NPC.
A: Three common causes: (1) Visiting at night (he only appears daytime), (2) Hung up phone call early (map marker didn't trigger), (3) Used wrong phone number format.
